JA BAND BOOSTERS

All JA Band families are encouraged to attend the JA Band Booster meeting on Monday, January 21, at 6:30 pm in the Band Hall.

WINTER GUARD

Something borrowed, something blue (then painted grey) - thanks to Annie Campbell, Chase Oswalt, and Tracy Carter for helping Mrs. Carter create the guard mat this weekend. This is the old mat that was used by the 2004 Grand National Class Champion JA Marching Band, which had been purchased in 2006 by the Madison Central Band. Thanks to Madison for allowing the JA guard to borrow the mat.


Guard Schedule for this week:

MONDAY, 1/21 - Rehearsal 12:00 - 5:00
TUESDAY, 1/22 - Rehearsal 3:15 - 5:15

SATURDAY, 1/26 - FIELD DAY @ Pearl HS
8:00 - 10:00 am - Rehearsal in the JA Gym
12:15 - Unload at Pearl - Winterguard shirts and Black Jazz Pants
1:20 - First Performance - Judges and guard only
6:00 pm - Report to Pearl for night show - Body Suits and Black Dresses
7:15 - Performance time

SUNDAY, 1/27 - Rehearsal 1:30 - 5:30

SECTIONAL REHEARSALS

The sectional rehearsal schedule for concert band is still being tweaked to best meet the needs of our student musicians. We will discuss the schedule in class and post the final details when they are available.
