TUESDAY - Concert Jazz Band (all high school band members) at FEATURES PAGEANT - no Sectional
6:15 - Report to the PAC pit, ready to warmup. Attire is all black. Students will be dismissed by about 8:15.

There will be evening rehearsals for the full band on TUESDAYS, March 20, March 27, and April 3 - 6:30 - 8:00 in the PAC.
These evening rehearsals are very important for the band's preparation for the MAIS Concert Band Festival on April 5. Please mark your calendars to ensure your student will be at these three rehearsals.
FRIDAY, March 23 - The JA Concert Band has been invited to perform at the Mississippi Music Educators Association Conference. Dr. David Akombo, a Professor of Music Education at JSU, has asked the band to perform a piece for his presentation at the conference, entitled A Multicultural Music Appreciation in a Familiar Key.
The band members will depart from school at 11:00, have lunch enroute, and perform at 1:00 in the Winston Room at the Jackson Marriott. Parents are invited to attend.

CENTRAL MISSISSIPPI CONCERT FESTIVAL
The Concert Band will again perform at the Central MS Concert Festival at Ridgeland HS on Thursday, March 29, in the afternoon. Further details are TBA.
NORTHWEST RANKIN HS JAZZ CLINIC
JA Band students are invited to attend the Northwest Rankin Jazz Clinic April 12-14. The clinic will start after school on April 12, meet all day Friday, April 13, and finish with a rehearsal and concert on Saturday morning, April 14. Cost is $25 per student.
If your student would like to attend this clinic, I need to know by the end of class on Monday, March 6.
