3/28/16 UPDATE

JA BAND SPRING UPDATE


This week begins the evening concert band rehearsals in the band hall for the next three Tuesdays:

MARCH 29 - 6:30 - 8:00

APRIL 5 - 7:00 - 8:30

APRIL 12 - 6:30 - 8:00

WINTER GUARD



Best of luck to the guard members as they gear up for the final event of their season, the MIA Championships at the Mississippi Coliseum on Saturday, April 2. There are 60 groups performing at championships from around the state and region. Here is a link to the full schedule: MIA GUARD CHAMPIONSHIPS

Here is the guard schedule for April 2:

12:00 - 3:00 - Rehearse at JA

Load, change, eat

4:00 - Depart for MS Coliseum

6:00 - Begin Warmup

7:00 - PERFORM

10:45 - Full Retreat

Good luck, guard! Please come out to the Coliseum to support these hard-working girls!

JA BAND BOOSTERS


From JA Band Booster President Catherine Arnold:

At the Booster Meeting on March 22, we drew up an OUTSTANDING slate of nominations for the 2016-2017 Executive Board. The following parents have graciously agreed to serve if elected:

PRESIDENT: Lisa Thomas
VICE PRESIDENT: Corrie Sigler
SECRETARY: Judy Caldwell
TREASURER: Karen Radosevich
HOSPITALITY: Nikki Williams

If anyone has any additional nominations (including self-nominations) for any of these positions, please submit them to me via email (arnoldsfive@gmail.com) by April 1st. We will formally approve our new officers at the Band Banquet on May 16.

Fundraising will function as a committee next year under the direction of President-Elect Lisa Thomas. Several people have expressed a willingness to serve on this committee. Let us know if you would like to be involved.

Thank you to everyone for the thoughtful consideration you have given to our future booster leadership.
