- JA Band BOOSTER MEETING Tuesday, September 9, at 7:00 pm in the band hall. Please come to discuss the San Antonio trip, MAIS Marching Festival, and other band activities.

- Mark your calendars for Thursday, September 18, Raider Night. 12:05 early dismissal, band performance 4:30 - 6:30 for Raider Night guests.

JA BAND SCHEDULE 9/8-12

MONDAY, 9/8 - Rehearsal 2:10 - 4:00

TUESDAY, 9/9 - Rehearsal 2:10 - 3:00

Booster Meeting - 7:00

The band will not be able to take the field for rehearsal until 6:30, after the girls' soccer game. To maximize our use of the field, our first opportunity for the full band to rehearse there, we will end at 8:15.

Guard 5:00 - 6:00, 6:30 - 8:15
Horns and Percussion 6:00 - 8:15

WEDNESDAY, 9/10 - Rehearsal 2:10 - 4:00

THURSDAY, 9/11 - Rehearsal 2:10 - 4:00

FRIDAY, 9/12 - Rehearsal 2:10 - 3:00

4:30 - Meal provided in the band hall
5:30 - Set to set warmup on parking lot
7:00 - Kickoff - JA v. Heritage Academy
HALFTIME - Show performance - Parent help needed
POST GAME - Students dismissed after all equipment returned to the band hall

BUSY SATURDAY FOR THE JA BAND

Best of luck to JA Guard members Kayla Young, Anna Claire Williams, and Caroline Burford who attended the MS Lions All State Band color guard workshop on Saturday, to help them prepare for the auditions in November.

Congrats to JA Band member Aaron Dallaire, who traveled to Starkville to be a part of the MSU Honor Marching Band on Saturday. Here is a photo that one of the MSU Famous Maroon Band directors posted of the rehearsal:

Congratulations to JA Alumni Annie Campbell and Abbi Thomas for their continued success at the next level. Both are Guard Captains at their respective universities, Annie at MSU and Abbi at USM. As captains, they provide leadership and also choreography for their groups' performances. On Saturday, 8/30, they even shared a field at the USM v. MSU game.
