BAND BLOG BULLETS

- Woodwind Sectional is moved to WEDNESDAY this week due to the holiday.

- Band Booster Meeting TUESDAY, MARCH 4 at 6:00 in the Band Hall

- Winter Guard travels to Hoover, AL this weekend. Rest of the season schedule in box to the right.

- Mark your calendars - Jazz Band at Features Pageant March 3, Central Mississippi Concert Festival March 20,  MAIS Concert Festival March 28

WINTER GUARD

Congrats to the Winter Guard for another successful weekend. The guard won their class at the Brandon MIA competition on Saturday, earning the highest score of all groups at the event, both overall and in every caption.

The guard will travel to Hoover, AL this weekend to compete at the Southeastern Color Guard Circuit event. 35 units from around the region will be participating.

Here is the schedule for the weekend:

SATURDAY, 2/22
8:45 - Rifles warmup, stretch
9:00 - 11:15 - Rehearse @ JA
11:15 - Mat crew loads van, guard members change
11:45 - Depart for Hoover
4:15 - Arrive Hoover
5:15 - Warmup
5:40 - Perform
5:50 - Load van
6:00 - 7:15 - Dinner TBA
7:15 - Return to Hoover to watch remaining groups
8:10 - Choctaw Central performance
8:40 - Retreat
9:30 - Check in to hotel

SUNDAY, 2/23
10:00 - Depart hotel
2:00 - Arrive @ JA
