MISSISSIPPI ALL-STATE LIONS BAND
Congratulations to the six JA Band members who auditioned at Pearl HS on Saturday for the 2013 Lions Band: Will Tribble & Tyler McClellan (Sax); Annie Campbell, Samantha Hill, and Caroline Burford (Colorguard); and Sarah Allen Bowman (Colorguard and Bass Clarinet). The auditions were an all-day affair, with about 600 students from public and independent schools around the state participating from about 7 am to 7 pm.
Best wishes to Will, Annie, Samantha, Caroline, and Sarah Allen as they return for callback auditions on Saturday, November 17.
The Band will travel to Hamburg, Germany, in July for the Lions Clubs International Convention.

The JA Band worked hard last week to provide school spirit as the JA Football team competed in the MAIS Championship game Friday. The day began with the drumline leading the parade through campus and continuing at the pep rally:
