3/1/15 UPDATE

JA BAND SCHEDULE UPDATE - BAND & GUARD

MONDAY, MARCH 2 - Select Jazz Band members @ Features Pageant, PAC. Participating students have been notified by Mr. Carter. These students should report by 6:15 pm, in black attire.

WEDNESDAY, MARCH 4 - Pre-fest Concert Band performance at Copiah-Lincoln Community College. This event is a "dress rehearsal" of sorts for the MAIS Concert Band Festival. Here is the schedule for the day:

11:30 - Students dismissed to Band Hall. They should bring a lunch to eat before we leave campus. They have permission to wear concert black to school that  morning, or change before we leave.

12:00 - Load school bus and depart. Mr. Bunch will drive the bus to Co-Lin

3:30 - Return to JA

In preparation for this performance, here is the sectional schedule for this week. Please ensure your student is at his or her sectional:

TUESDAY - Brass & Percussion

SATURDAY, MARCH 7 - Winter Guard @ Pearl HS MIA show

2:00 - Report to JA

4:30 - Load

5:00 - Depart for Pearl HS

6:00 - Warmup

7:00 - Perform

8:45 - Retreat

TUESDAY, MARCH 17 -
Winter Guard rehearsal 3:45 - 6:15
Concert Band rehearsal 7:00 - 8:30

SATURDAY, MARCH 21 - Winter Guard @ St. James, AL SCGC show

TUESDAY, MARCH 24 - Concert Band rehearsal 7:00 - 8:30

FRIDAY, MARCH 27 - MAIS Concert Band Festival @ the PAC - 2:00 performance time. Please come to hear the final performance of the JA Concert Band for the year.

SATURDAY, MARCH 28 - Winter Guard @ MIA Championships, MS Colisseum

MONDAY, MAY 4 - JA Band Spring Concert @ the PAC

MONDAY, MAY 11 - JA Band Banquet

BAND CAMP - July 27-31 and August 3-7

BOA ST. LOUIS TRIP - October 16-18
