MAGAZINE SALE

From the JA Band Boosters:

The annual magazine sale fundraiser will kick off on Wednesday, October 2. All lower and middle school students will receive a packet containing order forms and prize sheets. You may purchase new subscriptions or renew existing subscriptions.

Please consider buying/renewing your magazines, and support the JA Band. Magazine subscriptions also make great Christmas and Birthday gifts.

You may place an order with any band member, elementary, or middle school student. Contact Charlette Oswalt (601-331-5450, or charlette.oswalt@millsaps.edu) with any questions or to place an order.

VOLUNTEERS NEEDED

A chairperson (or a team of 2) is needed to spearhead the planning for the MAIS Marching Band Festival @ JA on October 26. Please contact JA Band Booster President Terri Fisher at tfisher@jacksonacademy.org if you are interested. The role will entail meeting with Mr. Carter to learn what help is needed, then creating and maintaining volunteer signup lists. This is a prime fundraising opportunity for the boosters, but it will take the efforts of all our parents to host the event.

A volunteer is needed to drive to Memphis early on Friday, December 13, to pick up the Corky's order, to be delivered at the end of school that afternoon. Contact Charlette Oswalt (charlette.oswalt@millsaps.edu) if you are available to help.
